Instagram - November Round Up

Here's a quick round up of our Instagram feed for November: 



1. Nautical Anchor Buttons.  We settled on the matt ones for our McQueen coat.

3. Love little touches like this from independent sellers.
4. Our Alexander McQueen inspired coat is finally finished! We used McCall's sewing pattern M6800.
5. Had to take a shot of the inside of our McQueen coat.  Just look at that gorgeous lining!

Instagram - October Round Up

October! We've mainly been busy with our Alexander McQueen inspired coat DIY but there's a few other things going on at the same time.  Check them out: 



From top left going across the rows:
1. Not a DIY but a funky little necklace we just had to share.
2. The start of our Tom Binns inspired DIY necklace.  We'll be blogging the finished project in the coming weeks.
3. The toile for out Alexander McQueen inspired winter coat DIY using McCall's M6800 sewing pattern.
4. Cutting out the fabric for out McQueen inspired M6800 coat DIY, it took 5 metres of fabric and a few hours of cutting!
5. The bold and beautiful lining fabric for our McQueen inspired M6800 coat.
6. Hair chalks, the non permanent way to DIY your hair.  A little messy to put in but well worth it if you can't commit to a permanent colour.
7. Charity Shop Haul, three new dresses for work for under £20. Yay.
8. The construction of our McQueen inspired winter coat.
9. Halfway through the DIY of our McQueen coat. What do you think so far?

Instagram - September Round Up

September, the end of the summer and the beginning of autumn.  See what we got up to on our Instagram account:

1. We tried out Essence's DIY gel manicure range. Does the manicure last 10 days like they claim? Here's our review: http://goo.gl/L7OChI
2. The gel manicure looks amazing with a high shine and professional finish!
3. Remember to clean your makeup brushes at least once a month. We recommend using a gentle baby shampoo.

6. New Chelsea boots and Dinosaur socks. I'm ready to face the day.

8. Some pretty black lace we used for a quick and easy pencil skirt.
9. Our finished stretch lace pencil skirt. So quick and easy to make and a staple in any wardrobe. Tutorial will be up soon.

Instagram - August Round Up

We've had a very busy August!  Here's some fashion DIY highlights from our Instagram account. Enjoy:

1. This 'Famous Frocks' was a gift from a friend and looks amazing. It has patterns for iconic dresses, like Marilyn Monroe's 7 Year Itch one and Audrey Hepburn's Breakfast at Tiffany's!
2. This months Charity Shop Haul. Remember to use #CharityShopHaul on Instagram and Twitter to share your bargain finds!

5. And a photo of the back because you've just got to love that bow!
6. Technically not a fashion DIY, but this stylish Tunnock's Milk Chocolate Tea Cake coffee mug has really made the morning commute much more bearable. And it was new from a Charity shop!

8. Turquoise manicure with silver glitter accent nails. Very summery.
9. Our Black Tie Wedding Guest Evening Gown finished.  Made with turquoise lace and diamante beads.  We based this on a Badgley Mischka for Vogue V1374 pattern then altered it to fit our design. Find out more about what we did here: http://goo.gl/1qq7l6

June Round Up

As we're new to Instagram we thought we'd give you a quick round up of our first proper month using it by showing you a few highlights:

1. Charity and thrift shop haul.  Charity shops are very useful in the fashion DIY world, there's loads of bargains to be found and great bases for you to use in DIY projects!
2. A little added extra to a French manicure. Ooo la la.
3. One of our Skull and Bead rings in all its glory. You can make your own with our tutorial.
4. The coolest bottle opener ever.
5. Skulls. Skulls. Skulls.
6. Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?
7. Finished DIY denim jacket. What do you think?
8. This is the wonderful Sheffield Tap - a bar at Sheffield train station.  It really is the only way to await a train!
9. Coffee for one. And a beautiful Pip Studio mug (previously found in a charity shop for 50p!)
